Try Market Segmenting
Concentrating
your efforts on one or a few key market segments (target marketing)
will get you the biggest bang for your buck.
There are two methods used to segment
a market:
- Geographic Specialize
in serving the needs of
customers in a particular geographical area.
For example, a neighborhood convenience store may send
advertisements only to people living within one-half mile
of the store.
- Customer Identify
people most likely to buy the product or service and targeting
just those groups.
Identify your customers by their age, sex, income and
educational level and residence. At first, target only those
customers who are more likely to purchase your product or
service. As your customer base expands, consider modifying
your plan to include other customers.
